Day 1
Terelj National Park & Genghis Khan Statue Complex
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel. Then we will drive to the Terelj National Park, which is about an hour of drive from Ulaanbaatar. You will enjoy the beautiful scene and rock formations of Terelj National Park. Turtle rock and Gunjiin Monastery are on the list of must sees of Terelj National Park. You will get the chance to hike around the park and ride a horse in the park with a breathtaking scenery the park has to offer. Plus, we’ll visit local nomadic family and get to know the nomadic lifestyle from close-up. Traditional Mongolian lunch will be served at the park (vegeterian/veggan foods are available only upon request). Then we’ll drive to the Genghis Khan Statue complex, which is around 30-40 min drive from the Terelj National Park. You will visit the complex, which is the biggest statue of Genghis Khan in the world. Then we’ll visit the musuem that exhibits objects from the ancient Mongol empire and yurt development. It is a perfect day tour for travelers, who are on a tight schedule but want to see & experience Mongolian culture, history and wildlife that it has to offer.
