Naadam Festival is one of the most important national festivals of Mongolia, which occurs during the most beautiful season of the year. This time we are going to Zavkhan province, a western Mongolia, to see the spectacular Naadam Festival at the heart of Zavkhan province. This group tour includes horseback riding in Yaruu soum with a breathtaking scenes along the lake of Hag. Plus, you will have the opportunity to experience a nomadic culture and taste some Nomadic foods close up in Yaruu soum with the nomadic family, who has hundreds of horses.

Day 1 Ulaanbaatar
Meet our guide and driver. Transfer to the hotel for check in. After check-in, start Ulaanbaatar city tour. Visit Sukhbaatar square, National History Museum and Gandan Monastery. After having a dinner visit Zaisan Memorial for the panoramic view of the city. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2 Khorgo National Park

Breakfast in the morning. Drive to Khorgo National Park. Lunch on the way. Hiking to the Khorgo Volcano. Explore the surroundings. Enjoy the day at the national park. Have a dinner and overnight at tent in Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur.

Day 3 Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur

Breakfast in the morning. Leisure day around the lake and canyon. Explore and walk along the Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. As the lake & canyon are so picturesque, take the moment to take some photos. Have lunch along the way. Enjoy the day at Chuluut canyon. Dinner and overnight at tent.

Day 4 Yaruu, Zavkhan

Breakfast in the morning. Drive to Zavkhan province. Lunch along the way to Yaruu. Greet the nomadic family and meet the horses after arrival. Explore the surroundings. Dinner with the nomadic family and overnight at nomadic family.

Day 5 Yaruu, Zavkhan

Breakfast in the morning. Prepare for a riding horse for a tour to Hag nuur. Ride the horses and explore the surroundings on the horseback. Ride horses along the beautiful Hag nuur. Lunch at nomadic family. After lunch help the family for their daily works. Milking, watering, and herding the livestock. Dinner with the family and overnight at nomadic family in a seperate ger. 

Day 6 Mongol Els

Breakfast in the morning. Drive to the Mongol Els. Have a lunch en route and visit Mongol Els, which is one of the beautiful natural wonder Mongolia has to offer. Mongol Els is located between North Gobi Altai province and east Zavkhan province. It is a sand dune, which rests on the lake. Relax along the sand dunes, that is on the basin of Zavkhan river.  Dinner and overnight at a tent. 

Day 7 Naadam Festival

Breakfast in the morning. Drive to Uliastai, a central of Zavkhan province. Lunch in Uliastai. Visit Naadam gers and try some traditional delicacies exlusive only for Naadam. Visit the Naadam stadium and enjoy the markets around the Naadam festival after watching some Mongolian traditional wrestling. Drive to horse racing and see the horse racing. After the race, drive to Yaruu. Dinner and overnight at nomadic family’s seperate ger.

Day 8 Eredenezuu Monastary

Breakfast in the morning. Drive to Kharkhorin, which is located in Uvurkhangai (central Mongolia). Lunch along the way. Visit Erdenezuu monastery, which was build in 1586 near the ruins of capital city of Mongol Empire. Visit archaeological site of Kharkhorin city and monuments dedicated for greatest dynasties of Mongolia. Overnight at tent.

Day 9 Khustai National Park

Breakfast in the morning. Drive to Khustai National Park. Lunch on the way. Visit the Khustai National Park, where there is the only left wild horses, which is called Takhi (in Mongolian) or as known as Prezewelaski horses. Explore the surroundings. Enjoy the day at the national park. Drive to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel. Tour ends!
